30 September 2013…

…was a good day. Acutally a great day!

Hubby resigned from his work and we were surprised that they are very supportive and wishes him good luck for this new chapter in our lives. Phew what a relief, to have people believe in us makes it alwasy a bit easier!

Then it was our fairwell party at work. The ladies went through so much trouble and really made it a special day. We had yummy snacks and each got a gift and we just relaxed together having our last chats. Saying good bye to everyone took me forever, I dont know why. Think if you spend 8 years together with colleagues they are not just that anymore, they are your friends too! I will miss them all so so much! Thanks to everyone that made yesterday special, and special thanks to Marina and Cherne!

And then….we got our ITA yesterday too! It reads:

Dear Mr Patterson,

Congratulations!

Immigration New Zealand would like to invite you to apply for residence to New Zealand under the Skilled Migrant Category. This is your Invitation to Apply (ITA).

Whoop whoop, how cool is that. Now we have 4 months to move and get all the docs they require!

30 September was a sad day to part with good friends but a great day to kick off what could be the best thing ever for our and our kids’ future!

xoxo

  1. Wow, so glad you got the ITA, must say it is weird reading the good news, where you always would come to my office to share the news. It will take some time to get use to it, but it will happen. About the Farewell, it was a pleasure!!! Enjoy staying home!!!!
